I stayed on Mud Island in Memphis with the Ole Mississippi bending round us. The best bit was hearing the big river boats come past the window at night and hooting their horns as they went down river. A highlight was call at Sun Studio where Elvis did some of his first recordings. I had a great chat getting information about microphones and the legendary Sun Studio sound with an engineer there. He gave me a Sun Studio guitar pick ( plectrum) which I use on some of my songs, unfortunately it was lost for a while until it turned up at the bottom of our washing machine. I suppose it was All Shook Up.
